Hiding Tactics: Is it REALLY cheating?

Ok, I'm not going to make a "wall of text" so that all of you incompetent people [Not referring to all people, only those who think 3 paragraphs of text is a wall because they lack any reading skills] who think 3 paragraphs of well written evidence becomes a wall, can read it. (Part of Origional post on Bungie.Net, not for the people here)

Hiding is not cheating. It may be cheap, but it is not cheating. If hiding tactics were cheating, then by now all people in HLG would be banned. It's Bungie's fault for making maps where we can hide, and its your fault for not looking above or below you, or in places that nobody goes to on a map. It is also your fault that you don't know hiding tactics. "Only [word for newcomers] hide! They can't fight and they know it! That's why they hide!" you say. On some level, that is correct. But I know many people, including myself, that can fight you face to face and in a real game WIN that also have the ability to hide.
I, as well as many others, hide because we get bored every so often and we think its funny when people yell at us when they lack the ability to look around. Not all of us are boosters or [word for newcomers] that can't fight.

I HATE IT!!! Halo is all about three things, weapons, grenades and mele, and you really dont use those to the fullest extent if you creep. I fight a certain way. I DO NOT HIDE OR CRAWL IN SHADOWS! I always make sure however that there is a way out of the scene. If i dont have that, i turn to hunt at another time.

Hiding is very useful for combat as well! Take Snowbound for example.
A guy is chasing me into a base. I get inside and hide up on the beam before he can see me. He gets confused, and when his back is turned, I drop down and mele him. As long as he doesn't see me go back up there with the Death Cam and nobody else sees me, I can do this repeatedly.

Hiding is fair. If you are about to die, you need to hide! If you hide you can also kill somebody stealthly. Hidiing is strategy, you need it sometimes!!!!

As a reply to stewie, when you go out the back exit aren't you HIDING from the other team so you don't die?

no, thats running from them to recover yourself, not hiding

the way i see it if its in the (modding excluded) game its not cheating
if some one gets out of your custom map and starts taking everyone out dont sit there and cry and yell back and fourth like little kids get your @ss up there and take him out if some one keeps spawn killing u and the team, figure a way out of it and the next game have the whole team concentrate on that one person
if someone hides then cover your @ss and patrol in two's
if its in the game and u can do it with out altering the game itself its fairgame
